Arms of CaterJohn Cater of Letcombe Regis in the county of Berkshire, gentleman, married Margaret daughter of John Audlet of Woburn in the county of Buckinghamshire [Bedfordshire], esquire, and by her had issue, William Cater, his eldest son and heir; Margery married William Hyde of Denchworth in the county of Berkshire, esquire; Anne married to William Button of Alton in the county of Southampton, esquire.

William Cater of Uffington in the county of Berkshire, gentleman, eldest son and heir to John aforesaid, married Dorothy daughter to Thomas Hoo of Hoo in the county of Hertfordshire, esquire, and by her hath issue, William Cater, his eldest son and heir; Thomas Cater, second son; Dorothy, died without issue.

Impalation of Morris of Great Coxwell William Cater of Uffington in the county of Berkshire, gentleman, eldest son and heir to William aforesaid, married Alice daughter of Thomas Morris of Great Coxwell in the county of Berkshire, esquire, and by her hath issue, Francis Cater, his eldest son and heir apparent; Anne and Mary.
