• They stored all sorts of everyday things:
  • Food
  • Beer
  • Clothes
  • Bedding
  • Candles
  • Tools
  • Work Equipment
  • Furniture
• But it was mostly taken up with the storage of grain & other produce from the Abbey's farms.
• This is where the 'cellar' comes from.
